Welcome to the Refilwe Skills Project.
The Refilwe Skills Project was founded in 2002 when individuals from the Refilwe community were given an opportunity to learn a skill and develop their own business thereby creating a sustainable lifestyle with an income for themselves and their families.
We believe in order to break the cycle of poverty it is essential
to teach people skills.
As the Chinese Proverb says:
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
The Refilwe Skills Project is the brainchild of Jane Chapman who approached NJR Steel to sponsor the initiative from the time it was founded. To contact Jane , please phone: 0823790965 or e-mail her : chapjane@global.co.za.
