The end of July 2015 marked the launch of our Ithuteng Community After Care Centre and Recycle Project, which offers structured educational support to over 100 children who live in the nearby Joe Slovo Informal Settlement (Lanseria). We are so excited about this project and would like to extend an opportunity to you to join hands with Refilwe and the Joe Slovo community because as the name of the project says, ‘Come, now is the time to learn’.
Ithuteng is run by committed local volunteer Nomaza Mariba, who oversees the homework as well as resources. She has a loving heart for her community and desires for each child to reach their dreams. She works tirelessly and sacrificially to allow each child to thrive in her environment.
