Goal: To equip individuals spiritually, mentally and physically and enable them to sustain themselves, and invest back into their communities.

The program focuses on breaking the cycle of poverty by helping individuals to become self sustained in order to sustain themselves and their families. The core objectives of this project are entrepreneurial and skills training through the Africa Cooperative Action Trust (ACAT) program.

ACAT focuses on sustainable human development and improvement in the quality of lives of the poor in the rural and peri-urban areas. The emphasis is on the development of the whole person – body, mind and spirit towards self sustainability.

Individuals are encouraged to form groups of 5 (G5s) who are trained and supported in starting and sustaining small businesses. The G5s are monitored by extension officers for up to 6 years to assist them implement the business practices they have been taught and to ensure complete sustainability.

The program also offers workshops for literacy, numeracy, welding, carpentry, wire work, sewing, beadwork, computer skills, cooking, vegetable gardening and small animal husbandry.
